Sullivan County Veterans Park Dedication Ceremony

 

Dedication of "Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution 1775 - 1783" Monument. LR: David Carr, Ben Stonecypher, Tom Vaughn, Robert Waugh, John Neth, Robert Richmond and Stephen Kirby.

Veterans Day in Veterans Memorial Park Abingdon, VA

 

Virginia’s First Gold Star Families Marker to be dedicated. Guest speakers will be Lizzie Mann and Barbara Smith, Co-Chairs of the Abingdon Garden Club Gold Star Memorial Committee. Kings Mountain Chapter of the SAR participated in the ceremony to honor our Veterans and Gold Star Families.

Meeting - Steve Ricker - The March to Kings Mountain

Sullivan County Veterans Park to open with ceremony on Monday

 

The ceremony, hosted by the Battle of Blountville Civil War Military Park Association, will take place at 4 p.m. at the Heritage Tourism Information Center, also known as the "Old Sheriff's Home," at 1575 State Route 394 in Blountville.  One of the monuments to be dedicated was donated by the Kings Mountain Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution listing all of the Patriots of the Revolution from Sullivan County Tennessee.
