Inurnment of Compatriot Nicholas A. Addington



On Friday, September 18, 2026, the Kings Mountain Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, conducted an observance of the inurnment of Compatriot Nicholas "Nick" Andreas Addington at Fall Branch United Methodist Church.

Nick was born on December 27, 1994, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and passed away on December 29, 2025, at the age of 31. A graduate of Central High School and a student of computer programming at Lander University, he worked in several fields during his career and was most recently pursuing his goal of becoming a Behavioral Health Technician working with special needs children. Nick will be remembered for his kindness, love of music, interest in theology and learning, and his ability to bring joy to those around him.

The observance included the Invocation and Benediction by Dr. John Wakefield, Chaplain; "Nicholas' Life," presented by Chapter President Rob Richmond; the Litany of Dedication by Secretary David Carr; and the sounding of Taps by Chris Cox, who also placed the stone.

Chapter members in attendance included Nick's father, Past President General Darryl Addington; TNSSAR President Ben Stonecypher; Past Kings Mountain Chapter Presidents John Neth and Dr. John Wakefield; Chapter President Rob Richmond; and David Carr, Past Kings Mountain Chapter and TNSSAR President.

The Kings Mountain Chapter extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Compatriot Nicholas Andreas Addington and joins them in honoring his life and memory.
