Gideon Daniels, President of the Society Children of the American Revolution (T.S.C.A.R.), being presented the Ronnie Lail Award of Excellence by Tim Massey.
Gideon, Ivan and Cohen Daniels being awarded The National Von Steuben Medal for Sustained Achievement. This medal is one of the highest recognitions awarded by the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) for dedicated color guard service. Well Done, and Congratulations!!!!

Dr. Timothy Holder is a historian, author, and speaker who presents more than 50 times a year to civic groups, churches, schools, and other organizations. He has written approximately 20 books, primarily focused on early American presidents and faith, and currently teaches history online for Liberty University and Walters State Community College. In addition to his academic work, he has appeared as an actor in films, television, and commercials. Much of his professional life overlaps with that of his wife, Jill Holder, with whom he has co-authored a book and taught classes. His interests center on faith, family, early American history, and a handful of well-defined personal passions.
The Gathering at Sycamore Shoals is a SAR National Event celebrating the gathering of the Overmountain Men muster to begin their march across the Blue Ridge to meet and defeat Major Patrick Ferguson and his Tory army at the Battle of Kings Mountain. Thomas Jefferson called this battle the "Turning point of the Revolution".
