Crockett Days 2026 - Tusculum, TN

Members of the Kings Mountain Chapter Color Guard participated in Crockett Days 2026 at the historic Doak House Museum in Tusculum on August 8-9, helping commemorate the 240th anniversary of the birth of David Crockett.

Representing the Kings Mountain Chapter of the Tennessee Society Sons of the American Revolution were Color Guard members Ben Stonecypher, TNSSAR President; Alan Bell; and Kings Mountain Chapter President Rob Richmond.

The annual celebration, organized by the Friends of the David Crockett Birthplace State Park in cooperation with park staff and Tusculum University, featured a weekend of living history, pioneer-era demonstrations, and activities highlighting the heritage of East Tennessee and the life and times of one of the region's most famous frontiersmen.

For the second consecutive year, Crockett Days was held at the Doak House while David Crockett Birthplace State Park in Limestone continues its recovery from the devastating flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in September 2024. Despite the extensive damage to the park, its staff and supporters have continued the Crockett Days tradition while plans move forward for the park's restoration and a new museum.
